Arts Education for Primary School is an introduction to teaching children Years 1- 9 through the Arts, which comprises Dance, Drama, Media, Music and Visual Arts. The subject will be based on the new <i>National Curriculum</i>. Students will have the opportunity to engage in and reflect on a range of learning experiences incorporating the key processes of making and responding.
Learning Outcomes
- critically explore policies and practice of Arts Education;
- explore a variety of appropriate media, modes and practical techniques for arts pedagogy;
- become aware of the potential of the Arts as ways of making meaning in a variety of modes.
