Arts Education in Early Childhood is an introduction to teaching young children to Year 3 through the Arts, which comprises Dance, Drama, Media, Music and Visual Arts. It links Arts Education to Early Childhood principles and practices, based on the <i>National Quality Framework for Early Childhood Education</i>, and the <i>Early Years Learning Framework</i>. Students will have the opportunity to engage in and reflect on a range of learning experiences incorporating the key processes of making and responding.

- explore a variety of appropriate media, modes and practical techniques for arts pedagogy;
- become aware of the potential of the Arts as ways of making meaning in a variety of modes.
