This subject introduces the land components of the hydrological cycle. Topics covered include:Hydrology design rainfall; peak discharges; design flood hydrographs; estimation of extreme floods; urban stormwater management; groundwater hydrology.River mechanics continuity equation; plug flow; solute transport; secondary flow; scour.Reservoir processes stratification; mixing; meteorological forcing; inflows and outflows; seasonal cycles; destratification methods.
