Advanced concepts in design of computer games. Topics include game narrative, landscape and place in games, design of avatars and player interfaces, and issues associated with choice of game engines.
Learning Outcomes
- ability to develop game narratives;
- advance understanding of the phenomenology of the game experience;
- advanced knowledge of avatar design and player interfaces;
- knowledge of game engines and the influence of their capabilities/limitations on development of a computer game.
