In addition to completion of 36 credit points of BU or BX subjects and enrolled in your last year of your course, students wishing to undertake the professional internship subject must enrol in the Professional Internship Work Group located on Career Hub. To gain access and enrol in the Work Group send an email to karina.lynch@jcu.edu.au. Career Hub https://careerhub.jcu.edu.au. Use your jc user name and password to log onto the site. The Work Group you are enrolled in will be listed on the left hand column of the Career Hub Home page under Appointments and ePortfolio. The application form must be completed no later than four weeks prior to the commencement of the study period. The process will register your interest in the subject only and does not guarantee a place, as places are limited. Once registered a selection process takes place and you will be advised of the outcome by email. This process only applies to students enrolled on the Townsville or Cairns campus.
This subject is designed to integrate knowledge and skills developed throughout the degree in a practical workplace setting. Students undertake a professional placement in a relevant, approved industry workplace and through a number of tasks reflect upon personal and professional growth and evaluate the theory / practice nexus.
Learning Outcomes
- apply technical skills necessary for professional practice in business;
