Students will be placed in a human services/social welfare agency, under the supervision of a qualified social welfare worker, to undertake a field education project which reflects the learning objectives of this subject. The field placement will be undertaken concurrently with other level three subjects and the field experience can be linked to one or more of these subjects' learning objectives or assessment.

To undertake this subject, students must have successfully completed 12 credit points (four subjects) of level 1 study at tertiary level

    Assessment:140 hours field placement (20 days) which can be undertaken 2 days a week for 10 weeks or in a full time 4 week block. learning plan, reflective journals, a final placement assessment and statement of learning are required.
    Special Assessment Requirements:RPL may be possible for this subject - ask for the RPL guidelines from the subject coordinator
