Available to students who have been awarded a degree in Physiotherapy or its equivalent, are eligible for membership of Australian Physiotherapy Association of Australia, are registered with the Physiotherapy Registration Board of Queensland, and have approval of the Head of School.
This subject is the first of four subjects (the others being PS4511, PS4513 and PS4514) that constitute the Bachelor of Physiotherapy Honours (graduate entry) in the Discipline of physiotherapy when studied part time. Students in this subject will commence a research project on a topic to be agreed between the student and the Honours Coordinator (Physiotherapy), carried out under the supervision of a supervisor from within the Discipline of Physiotherapy.
Learning Outcomes
- students will acquire and demonstrate the ability to review and critically appraise literature relevant to the chosen research topic;
- students will acquire and demonstrate the ability to design and undertake research in a systematic and scientific manner, to apply research methods appropriate to the field of study in which the research project is situated, and to implement the procedures necessary to ensure that research is conducted in an ethical manner appropriate to the research area;
- students will acquire and demonstrate the ability to conduct appropriate analysis of the data collected and extract logical conclusions from the research results.
