This subject is an integration of theory and practice to develop clinical expertise in the care of women in pregnancy experiencing at-risk event.

Learning Outcomes

• to apply knowledge of the pathophysiological changes in reproduction;
• to appreciate the impact of stigma and labelling of women as high risk;
• to provide care consistent with the philosophy and ethics prescribed by professional standards;
• to work in collaboration with other members of the healthcare team;
• to discuss the psychosocial impact on women and their family when at-risk events occur.
