The following eligibility criteria apply: 1. Successful completion of at least two study periods in an MBA or joint MBA program 2. GPA 5.0 3. Two references from campus lecturers 4. No academic misconduct reports 5. Pre-existing employment experience in an Australian workplace 6. Offers will be made following an interview process discussing potential host organisations 7. Students must not receive monetary or "in-kind" remuneration for any part of the project.
The community project is one of two alternative capstone subjects for the MBA which brings together the theoretical material covered in the course and applies it to practice based learning in the form of a community project. Small teams of students devise, develop, deliver and document an integrated project for a real community organisation or activity. The community project must be clearly articulated and provide achievable outcomes which will be evaluated by the host organisation based on a group pitch and documented plan.
