This subject is available to Graduate Diploma of Health Professional Education and Master of Health Professional Education only or by permission of the Head of School.

Students will learn the different phases involved in developing and designing a curriculum. They will be able to identify and discus the challenges involved in curriculum development.

Learning Outcomes

• Discuss the meaning and components of a curriculum;
• Compare and contrast between curriculum development and curriculum design;
• Describe the steps in the curriculum development;
• Discuss the main challenges in designing a curriculum for a health care program;
• Outline a curriculum evaluation framework for a selected practice.
