In this subject the student is introduced to the contemporary concepts of lifespan development. The physical, cognitive, and psychosocial (psychological, emotional and socio-cultural) aspects of lifespan development are addressed. These will be applied to all periods of the lifespan to promote the lifelong well-being of individuals. The context of experiences and the impact of developmental disability across the lifespan are discussed.
