Learning Outcomes

• to grasp elements of French culture through the reading programme;
• to read authentic materials from the French press with sensitivity to tone;
• to write with increasing fluency on diverse topics using academic French;
• to write in different French styles, in particular journalistic French;
• to read an avant-garde French novel.

Assumed Knowledge:	To undertake this subject, students must have successfully completed 12 credit points (four subjects) of level 1 study at tertiary level
