In response to the increased value our society places on environmental issues and sustainable development, in the study of Earth Sciences, Environmental Sciences or Planning, EV3018 provides the student with an opportunity to work in an environment that supports professional practice in the workplace. The student is assessed on select criteria designed specifically to assess the performance in the workplace via the Work Skills Development Framework (Bandaranaike & Willison, 2009) - http://www.jcu.edu.au/teaching/idc/groups/public/documents/advice/jcuprd_047283.pdf
Learning Outcomes
- An opportunity to relate theoretical knowledge to practice experience in the workplace while developing a suite of skills required in the professions of environmental sciences, earth sciences and urban and regional planning.
