Details of engineering planning and design; feasibility, and concept design of engineering projects; project planning techniques; discussion of case studies for engineering projects related to energy, mining, construction, infrastructure and manufacturing processes; sustainability, environmental and social considerations in engineering projects; organisational structure for engineering projects; cost estimation and risk management for engineering projects; technological aspects of engineering projects; scheduling of time and resources; multiple project management; optimisation models and algorithms for solution; optimal scheduling of time and resources; cost optimisation; application of optimisation approach to engineering project management; quality control; construction management - design and delivery, tenders, bidding, procurement, risk management, scheduling and estimation of costs; international engineering projects; project monitoring and closure. Project: Conceptualisation, comparison, selection and development of detailed project plan, schedule, cost and risk involved in (group) proposed engineering project from different disciplines of engineering.
