The subject will allow students to investigate the use of information and communications technologies (ICTs) for effective learning and teaching in early-childhood, primary and secondary school classrooms. This subject requires access to Web-based material. Students wishing to study this subject off-campus should ensure that they are able to access this material. Information on requirements is available from the School of Education.
Learning Outcomes
- distinguish between a variety of ICT curriculum models and be sensitive to curriculum issues relating to ICT, including social justice issues;
- apply skills in using and integrating ICT throughout the curriculum;
- understand and apply the theoretical underpinnings of ICT enhanced pedagogy;
- demonstrate embedding of technology essential learnings and ICT cross-curricula priorities in planning;
- implement ICT activities to develop problem- solving and higher order thinking skills at the students' learning level.

- The ability to use online technologies effectively and ethically.
