This is the second subject in the Professional Studies strand of the Bachelor of Education, following ED2491 -Teaching for Learning 1. The focus of this subject will be the development of research informed practice to support productive and engaging learning in primary settings. Specifically, students will develop and articulate a framework for their own pedagogy and focus on collecting and reflecting on evidence to meet the needs of diverse learners in primary settings. Students will develop a repertoire of observation methods and teaching strategies to support evidence based practice and responsive classroom environments. Students are required to undertake five (5) days of professional experience. Students enrolled in the RATEP program are required to undertake fifteen (15) days of professional experience.
