Available to students enrolled in the Doctor of Clinical Dentistry course only or by permission of Head of School.Subject will be offered in SP1 & SP2 of each year.
The research component of the professional doctorate will consist of a literature review and clinically oriented research in a specific area of specialist dentistry culminating in a substantial dissertation. The presentation of the Doctor of Clinical Dentistry thesis may follow a similar style to the PhD thesis, however published work may also contribute partly or wholly to this dissertation.

- conduct substantial advanced research in the student's area of specialisation and present the outcomes as a dissertation to the acceptable standard.
