This subject focuses on the creation of interactive on-line multimedia. Students will use contemporary multimedia development tools to create interactive multimedia systems for Internet/web delivery. Students will be exposed to current design issues; designing and developing interactive multimedia interfaces; incorporating graphics, sound and animation into multimedia projects; synchronising different media types; multimedia programming and scripting; event handling and object-oriented concepts. The multimedia design process and team concepts are stressed.

• understand contemporary application environments for on-line multimedia;
• understand contemporary performance issues for on-line multimedia;
• understand how to create digital resources for on-line multimedia.
