In this subject students will learn about the various social science theories that comprise modern management thought. They will gain a level of competence in the language of business management and be introduced to management practice. Topics covered include the history of management thought, communication, group dynamics, motivation, decision making, leadership, power and politics, and ethics. This introductory subject will establish a sound basis of theoretical and practical knowledge which may be subsequently used for more advanced management subjects.
