Students will be taught a range of skills in the visual arts area of printmaking. Emphasis will be on the exploration of traditional and contemporary approaches to visual art expression through a series of intensive workshops in a specialist printmaking studio. Methodology appropriate to visual arts practice will be implemented. Students will be taught to apply professional standards of presentation.
Learning Outcomes
- to demonstrate an understanding of safe work practices as applied within a specialist printmaking studio;
- to develop problem-solving skills to assist in creative decision- making and critical inquiry in fine art;
- to gain an appreciation of the inherent qualities of processes and techniques in the area of printmaking;
- to identify, employ and demonstrate proficiency in key competencies necessary for visual arts practice.

- The ability to think critically, to analyse and evaluate claims, evidence and arguments;
- The ability to adapt knowledge to new situations;
- The ability to define and to solve problems in at least one discipline area.
