This subject will provide students with the opportunity to experience the various roles and responsibilities of exercise physiologists in the treatment, management and care of individuals with musculoskeletal, neurological/neuromuscular and mental health conditions and cancers. This subject will provide students with experience in designing, facilitating and evaluating clinical exercise programs; in using equipment and facilities associated with clinical assessing and exercise prescription; and will provide exposure to the roles of exercise physiologists and other medical and allied health professionals in the prevention, treatment and management of musculoskeletal, neurological/neuromuscular and mental health conditions and cancers.

    Special Assessment Requirements:Students must attend 180 hours of clinical placement activities covering musculoskeletal, neuromuscular/neurological conditions and cancers and satisfactorily meet set assessment criteria including a satisfactory report from the clinical supervisor(s), a completed logbook and workplace reflection.
