Enrolment is restricted to students enrolled in the Bachelor of Speech Pathology, Speech Pathology IHCAP Program and the Bachelor of Speech Pathology Honours Programs.

This course will develop student's understanding of ethical principles and the ethics of care. In addition, students will apply these ethical reasoning to critical incidents in speech pathology practice. Students will also develop knowledge about the legal aspects which impact on the profession of speech pathology. Working in inter-professional teams and developing appropriate service delivery models are key components to working as a speech pathologist, especially in Northern Australia. This course provides the knowledge base for team work and for conceptualizing specialised services. Student will discuss different types of service delivery and team work that currently exists in speech pathology. For example, the generic competencies for Rehabilitation will be covered.
