Enrolment is restricted to students enrolled in the Bachelor of Speech Pathology, Speech Pathology IHCAP Program and the Bachelor of Speech Pathology Honours Programs.

This course introduces students to clients with complex communication needs. These clients have additional physical and emotional issues, and environmental and personal factors also impact on their management. Students will demonstrate increasing awareness of professional issues such as ethics of care and organisational structures. The ICF will be used explicitly in the modelling of clinical reasoning skills and, on completion of the course, students will be expected to be proficient in explicitly verbalising their clinical reasoning for new complex cases.
