Pharmaceutical Public Health is a developing specialty which seeks to influence pharmaceutical health determinants on a population basis, rather than having a focus on the individual patient. One of the following subjects is a compulsory prerequisite for this research based project: TM5524:03 Qualitative Research Methods and/or HS5101:03 Contemporary Issues in Primary Health Care Research. This project is designed to be developed, implemented and finalised within one semester. The student is required to work independently through the research cycle in relation to a short project which will be implemented in the usual work environment. The components are: 1. definition of subject area (to be confirmed with supervisor) 2. establishment of aims and objectives 3. Literature Review 4.revision of methodology 7. implementation of project and collection of data 8. analysis of data 9. preparation of results 10. write-up of project suitable for publishing in a peer-reviewed journal 11. submission of final project write-up, raw data and data collection materials 12. oral scientific presentation of project.
