Available to students who have been awarded a recognised degree in Occupational Therapy or its equivalent.
This subject is one of four subjects (the others being OT4511, OT4512 and OT4514) that constitute the Bachelor of Occupational Therapy Honours (graduate entry) in the Discipline of Occupational Therapy when studied part time. Students in this subject will commence a research project on a topic to be agreed between the student and the Honours Coordinator (Occupational Therapy), carried out under the supervision of a supervisor from within the Discipline of Occupational Therapy.
Learning Outcomes
- students will acquire and demonstrate the ability to review and critically appraise literature relevant to the chosen research topic;
- students will acquire and demonstrate the ability to design and undertake research in a systematic and scientific manner, to apply research methods appropriate to the field of study in which the research project is situated, and to implement the procedures necessary to ensure that research is conducted in an ethical manner appropriate to the research area;
- students will acquire and demonstrate the ability to conduct appropriate analysis of the data collected and extract logical conclusions from the research results.
