This subject aims to introduce the registered nurse to professional nurse practice issues. As reflective nurses students will explore issues such as human responses to illness, ethico-legal issues in specialty nursing practice and assessing specialised nursing practice using competency standards. Students will be provided with the opportunity to apply knowledge gained to their area of specialised nursing practice.
