This subject covers in detail the microscopic pathology skills required for a laboratory diagnosis of both malignant and non malignant leucocyte disorders. Skills in the laboratory diagnosis of malaria are also taught. This subject with ML4307 completes the professional requirement for a graduate medical laboratory scientist in haematology.

Learning Outcomes

• Achieve a level of proficiency required for employment in a medical laboratory;

• Become proficient in the laboratory diagnosis of malaria;
• Become proficient in the laboratory diagnosis of leucocyte disorders.
