This subject continues the study of integrated medical and social sciences for the whole human body. The emphasis is on integrating knowledge of clinical pathology with an approach to gathering and interpreting clinical information from patients. By the end of Year 4 the student will be expected to be able take patient histories, examine patients, seek relevant laborotory and imaging investigations and put this information together to determine what disease processes are and how they are experienced.

  • 16 hours workshops/Seminars - Synthesising Sessions integrate concepts and content
  • 160 hours clinical placement
  • 6 hours professional experience
Assessment:end of semester exam (43%); other exams (22%); clinical investigations assessment (10%); rotation and whole of year assessment including essays and assignments (25%).
Special Assessment Requirements:Satisfactory attendance at community and clinical placements is a pre-requisite. Satisfactory completion of the CPD is a pre-requisite. Must achieve a pass score in all assessments in order to progress
