This subject is an introduction to the study of tropical marine science as an interdisciplinary topic. Current areas of interest and opportunity in the fields of marine biology, chemistry, geology and physics will be covered.

Students enrolling in this subject should have a good understanding of high school Yr 12 level biology, chemistry and mathematics. A basic understanding of physics is recommended.
Prerequisites:[(Senior Chemistry or CH1020) and (Maths B or MA1020)] or admission to 50110M - allow concurrent for CH1020
