The student will undertake a literature review on a topic selected in consultation with their supervisor. The topic should be pertinent to the students research project. The review should be a critical appraisal of the objectives and results of previous research in the area.

Learning Outcomes

• to give the student experience in the evaluation of result in that area;
• to introduce the student to the literature in the area of their project.
