Nature and history of equity, equitable interests, equitable assignments, fiduciary relationships, unconscionability,undue influence, estoppel, confidential information, equitable remedies (specific performance, declarations, injunctions, account and damages) and equitable defences (laches and acquiescence).

Learning Outcomes

• an understanding and knowledge of the law of equity;
• an ability to analyse and critique equitable concepts, doctrines and maxims;
• an ability to apply principles of equity to legal issues through analysing legal problems and finding and applying relevant statute and case law.

Assumed Knowledge:	It is expected that Bachelor of Laws and Joint Bachelor of Laws students will have completed LA2015 Land Law 1 and LA2016 Land Law 2 before enrolling in LA3103:03 Principles of Equity.
