Students are introduced to audio and audiovisual journalism for radio, television and the web. They learn how to record voice and other sound and how to use broadcast equipment and develop editing skills for audio packages. After an introduction to the basics of camerawork students learn how to present stories in a visual way. Tutorials develop skills in broadcast newswriting, sound gathering, camera work, interviewing, voice production, audio and video editing, and style.
