Students study the ethical constraints that operate on journalists in the field. Students are introduced to the methodology of content analysis to attempt to quantify how particular issues are represented in the media including particular stories and issues such as race, ethnicity and gender. This in turn helps students to reflect on their own professional journalistic practice when entering the industry.
