In today's changing media landscape, students will learn advanced skills of visual storytelling suitable for delivery online and in the television medium. Skills will include storyboarding, shooting, editing and being responsible for all aspects of the production of the visual story. Students will learn how to use the visual medium to their best advantage and will produce stories to be submitted to our digital media platform.

Learning Outcomes

• advanced television news gathering and presentation skills;
• capacity to prepare an industry standard current affairs package for television, and a short television documentary;
• significant progress towards professional quality writing, vocal and personal presentation.

Assumed Knowledge:	To undertake this subject, students must have successfully completed 12 credit points (four subjects) of level 1 study at tertiary level
