This subject provides an opportunity for registered health professionals to develop and formalise their teaching skills specifically related to professional development in the education of health professionals. The subject focuses on the teaching and assessment of professionalism in clinical settings, ie professional knowledge, skills, behaviours and attributes. It is available off-campus on a part-time basis in the mode of flexible delivery.
Learning Outcomes
- outline and facilitate experiential learning sessions for critical appraisal and evidence- based practice;
- discuss learning and teaching in relation to clinical reasoning and patient management;
- discuss models of learning and teaching professionalism in clinical practice;
- discuss and carry out various methods of assessing professional development and behaviour in practice.
