Available to level 4 honours students in the degrees listed above. Except with the approval of the Head of School/Associate Dean, all subjects in a chain must be studied in the consecutive teaching periods.

Candidates may enrol to commence study at the beginning of either Teaching Period 1 or 2. The subject includes: a thesis involving original research work; additional studies in the school and/or a specialised program of study.

Learning Outcomes

• improved skills in verbal and written communication, data analysis, literature survey and presentation;
• experience of the processes and procedures required to undertake a successful independent research project in Earth and Environmental Sciences.

Satisfactory fulfilment of requirements for entry into Honours program in the School of Earth and Environmental Sciences

Availabilities
As this subject is part of a subject chain, a final standard grade (e.g. P, C) will only be recorded for each subject after successful completion of all parts of the subject chain.
