This subject introduces mobile technologies and applications for individuals, organisations and communities. The topics covered include mobile programming, mobile user interfaces, wireless communications, location aware applications and current technological trends in mobile business and innovations.
Learning Outcomes
- program mobile devises with respect to the inherent software and hardware limitations;
- understand the important features and functionality of mobile devices such as location awareness, wireless communications, user interfaces and interaction design;
- gain practical experience using current API's, toolkits and platforms;
- develop an appreciation of contemporary and emerging mobile technology and related innovations.
