The subject draws together the areas of leadership and strategy by considering how managers shape the future of organisations through strategic thinking and analysis, developing and deploying strategy, and influencing the organistion through effective leadership practices to achieve a desired future. The critical links between the art of leadership, the creativity of thinking, and the science of strategy will be examined and practiced. The emphasis of the subject will be on examining leadership paradigms and strategy development within relevant contexts, identifying barriers and investigating relevant issues within those contexts.
