Creating business intelligence requires an understanding of the business environment and an ability to capture, model and interpret the salient descriptors of that environment. This subject provides students with decision support theory and modelling skills that can be applied to develop models to support decision making and understand intelligence emerging from expanding organisational information resources. Students will be required to develop the knowledge and skills to be able to build useful and error free computer-based decision models for a number of business problems. This subject is compulsory for students wishing to satisfy professional accreditation requirements in the Bachelor of Business (Accounting).
