Students will be introduced to the essential knowledge and abilities they need to engage actively and effectively as an academic learner. Participation in the subject includes developing personal study skills and academic writing techniques. Please note students based on Thursday Island must enroll in the Thursday Island Limited Mode.
Learning Outcomes
- identify and apply personal study methods;
- develop academic skills that include note-taking, reading, writing and introductory research skills;
- reference correctly as per academic conventions;
- develop listening skills;
- develop time management skills.
