This subject will introduce students to the underlying principles of conducting needs assessments and planning health promotion programs. This will include an introduction to theoretical models that allow problems identified during a needs assessment to be examined in more detail to ensure the development of appropriate responses to health issues. Content will cover all key planning steps including the development of goals and objectives, and consideration of evaluation, budgeting and sustainability.
