Recognised bachelor degree, or bachelor with honours degree in an allied health discipline or a recognised bachelor or bachelor with honours of nursing degree.

This subject aims to build upon knowledge gained in the first of the core subjects, RH5101 Rehabilitation in the Tropics, in that it challenges the student to examine difficult and complex issues of rehabilitation. These issues may arise from clinical, geographic, ethical, cultural or socioeconomic reasons, but all impact on the quality of rehabilitation services a health practitioner can provide a client. Students will identify and consider in depth these issues around a range of scenarios to develop problem solving skills to help them in their practice. The subject supports the JCU objectives of helping communities (local or regional) and working to improve healthcare and capacity within the tropics.
