This subject introduces students to the fundamentals, basic theory, and practice of photography. It provides an introduction to photography and the use of 35mm digital SLR cameras and accessories, and is especially useful to students who need a basic level of photographic skills as an adjunct to their major area of study. Students studying journalism, creative arts, earth, biological or medical sciences, anthropology, archaeology, tourism or media related courses would find this a useful subject, as will any student with an interest in improving their photographic skills.
