This subject provides the student with the foundation knowledge for further studies in human physiology and pharmacology. It covers a diversity of functions of the human body including cell and tissue organisation; tissue excitation; electrophysiology; blood and lymph and the physiology of the nervous, musculoskeletal, cardiovascular and immune systems. This knowledge is essential for careers in health related areas, human biomedical research and drug research and development.
