This subject covers topics in mechanics including relativity and forms the basis for further studies in engineering (statics and dynamics) as well as physics. This subject will cover vectors, kinematics, projectile motion, Newtonian mechanics, kinetic energy, potential energy and work, conservation of energy, centre of-mass and momentum, conservation of momentum for systems of particles, rotational kinematics and dynamics, systems in equilibrium, special relativity.

Prerequisites:[(Senior Maths B or MA1020) and (Physics or Maths C or MA1000)] or admission to 102810 or 102910 or 50110M. Allow concurrent for MA1000
