OT3006 - Rural and Urban Practice - Australian OT Perspectives

This subject is only available for international occupational therapy practitioners who have a prior Diploma or Bachelor qualification (minimum length of course - 3 years) in occupational therapy that is accredited by the World Federation of Occupational Therapists. The subject will provide a minimum of 152 hours (4 weeks at 38 hours/week) of supervised clinical placement with flexible support from the University, to integrate academic material and clinical experience, with a new observational and practical clinical education. The placement will be either rural or urban and will enable the student to apply, utilise and develop the theories and principles of occupational therapy in a variety of settings. Students may be required to undertake clinical placements in a facility away from the campus at which they are currently enrolled, at their own expense.
