Available to students enrolled in the Bachelor of Nursing Science (Post-registration) Fiji program.
This subject builds on the students extensive knowledge of primary health care activities and serves to integrate the knowledge to enable the student to develop and manage a primary health care program in their local context.
Learning Outcomes
- describe the primary health care approach to providing health services;
- develop a range of health promotion activities that are suited to the setting in which they will be done;
- discuss the principles and values of primary health care;
- manage a health promotion program;
- outline several models of health promotion.
