The subject introduces students to the research process, different designs and the main data collection tools. It seeks to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary for them to be able to utilise statistical data analysis techniques.
Learning Outcomes
- describe the various components of a research project;
- develop skills for evaluating published research and its applicability for practice;
- discuss different designs and approaches as well as their suitability to nursing research;
- outline the research process and explain the sequence of its components;
- demonstrate knowledge of the relationship between theory and research.
