This subject involves investigations of a range of immersive and interactive imaging options. These include: a rationale for interactive panoramic and object movie imaging and their application as web based technologies for the tourism, environmental, advertising and education industries. Virtual tours with multimedia enhancements will also be investigated. Students will be encouraged to develop collaborative project work involving, wherever possible, partners from outside of the local area, including the international arena. An understanding of professional workflows will be developed through the completion of such project work.
Learning Outcomes
- established ability to make and format immersive imaging content for various multi media and internet applications;
- established understanding of the ability of immersive imaging to extend the interactivity of various types of digital experience;
- established ability to conceive, ideate, design, capture and process interactive panoramas, object movies and virtual tours;
- established experience of working with partners from outside of the university.
