Students become more familiar with the language of acting and will apply these skills to performance situations utilising text and improvisation techniques. Students focus on text analysis for varying styles and genres of performance and develop character voices informed by articulatory focus and body/spatial awareness utilising Laban techniques. Stanislavskian and Chekovian methodologies for actor preparation are a focus in text based performance.
